Announcement: GuitarControl.com Releases “How to Use Pentatonic Scales on Guitar - Blues Guitar Lesson on Pentatonic Scales”
(PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- “It’s not about going straight up and down the scale”, says Johnson, “that’s not very musical, it’s about playing melodies”. Claude demonstrates the Am Pentatonic Scale as follows; 5th fret of the 6th string with first finger to the 8th fret with 4th finger to the 5th fret of the 5th string with first finger to the 7th fret with 3rd finger and then repeat that sequence for strings four and three and then 5th fret of the 2nd string with first finger to the 8th fret with 4th finger and then repeat that sequence for the first string.
Claude continues this easy guitar lesson by performing some blues licks based on the minor pentatonic scale that incorporate the techniques of slides, bending, vibrato and hammer-on and pull-offs. “The easiest way to get started with this is to learn to plays some basic licks that end on the root”, says Johnson. Claude demonstrates one as follows; 7th fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger and bend up one whole step and then release back to the 7th fret to the 5th fret with first finger and finally ending on the 7th fret of the 4th string with 3rd finger. Claude continues by performing a variety of other simple licks to get you started. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner lead guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
