Meadows Farms Raises over $20,000 for Breast Cancer Research Foundation
(PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Meadows Farms is pleased to announce another successful Pink Day fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Despite less than optimal weather, they were able to raise over $20,000 this year. Since they began hosting Pink Days they have now raised over $70,000 for the BCRF, which is the only 501(c)(3) breast cancer organization to be awarded an “A+” by CharityWatch.
Most of the festivities occurred over the Columbus Day weekend, and highlights included raffles, silent auctions, local vendors, music, community organizations & local fire departments, food vendors, and other fun and festive events.
An exciting new event this year featured twelve brave employees fundraising for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by asking sponsors to champion them as they jumped out of an airplane on Saturday October 4th at the Warrenton Airpark.
“We are very pleased to have hosted another successful Pink Day fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and look forward to an even better event next year,” says Jay Meadows, President of Meadows Farms.
