Young Upstart Foundation's Co-Founder Running for Fight 4 Sterling
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- What do Sterling Avery – a beautiful 5 year-old girl, Phil Davis – a UFC Light Heavy Weight contender, and The Young Upstart Foundation’s Ian Walsh have in common? They are all striving to help Sterling kick Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
On November, 23, Ian Walsh is running the Philadelphia Marathon to raise funds for Sterling’s continuing battle to beat the disease. Sterling’s story and how to donate are detailed at the Young Upstart Foundation’s events website: http://www.Fight4Sterling.com.
The Founders have been supporting youth for some time now and Ian’s Philadelphia Marathon challenge is one of the largest events they have been involved with to date. As one of the Co-Founders of Young Upstart Foundation, http://www.YoungUpstartFoundation.org, Ian has been gaining support for his marathon run for several months now and promises to race with great passion and determination for Sterling.
Chris Haddon, another Co-Founder of the Young Upstart Foundation, commented, “As one of the earliest events the Young Upstart Foundation has participated in, we are very hopeful that Ian’s marathon run will raise funds to support Sterling’s recovery, increase scientific research for the cures, and greatly increase awareness. We are all passionate about helping kids learn how to be successful entrepreneurs and Ian’s run in the marathon will hopefully also help us get the word out about the Foundation and its positive goals for all kids.”
