Novogradac & Company LLP to Host Developers Conference in Miami
San Francisco (PRWEB) November 27, 2014 -- Affordable housing practitioners from around the country will gather to discuss the latest issues facing the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) industry at the annual Novogradac Tax Credit Developers Conference, to be held Jan. 8-9 at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami hotel in Miami. The two-day conference will feature panels of investors, lenders, attorneys, accountants and other industry professionals who will offer insight on industry news and topics, such as the state of the equity market, compliance issues, identifying and avoiding financing pitfalls, preparing for property dispositions in Year 15 and resyndicating LIHTC properties. During a special Q&A session, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask a panel of experts what could be in store for the affordable housing market in 2015.
“The low-income housing tax credit faces a variety of potential challenges and opportunities on the horizon as Congress considers its course of action on tax reform,” said Susan Wilson, CPA, conference chairwoman and partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s Austin, Texas, office. “The Novogradac Tax Credit Developers Conference will give affordable housing practitioners the latest expert insights and strategies they’ll need to help them thrive in the year ahead.”
Attendees can interact with hundreds of affordable housing community members, including active tax equity investors, project developers, lenders and many other industry participants during the numerous networking breaks and a cocktail reception Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Conference attendees are also invited to a special luncheon scheduled earlier that day to honor winners of the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits Developments of Distinction Awards, which recognize excellence in affordable housing development. In addition to the Developments of Distinction Awards, the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits conducts several awards programs designed to recognize excellence in community development, historic preservation and renewable energy.
