Third graders from Orange Elementary School put their artistic skills to use by drawing some beautiful patriotic placemats
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) November 30, 2014
The Southern Orange County Elks Lodge, in continuing to keep its commitment to the community, held its annual Veteran’s Day dinner, hosted by Emilio N. Francisco. They had more than 50 veterans who enjoyed a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Emilio N. Francisco, chairperson of this event, organized and helped all the volunteers put on this event to honor Orange County veterans.
Ted Bell, an Army veteran, setup and spoke about the missing warrior table, or as the Elks once knew it as the vacant chair. Third graders from Orange Elementary School put their artistic skills to use by drawing some beautiful patriotic placemats for the veterans to enjoy while eating. Cooks were Jeff Sagorsky, John Sjogren, Charles Westley, Rish Chaudhary, David and Suzanne Hicks. There were many other Elk volunteers who setup and helped with this successful event.
