(DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 11, 2014) – The SME Education Foundation is pleased to announce its continued support of Focus: HOPE in 2014. In recognition of Focus HOPE’s STEM Bridge program, the SME Education Foundation has committed $25,000 in funding.
Through this and other initiatives, the SME Education Foundation provides K-12 students, college students and students enrolled in technical training programs with scholarships and access to additional manufacturing educational resources.

In the last decade, the SME Education Foundation has provided Focus: HOPE with nearly $100,000 in scholarship funding, specifically designated for students enrolled in the Machining Training Institute. SME’s Education Foundation relies on corporations, foundations, organizations and individuals to develop and finance programs that inspire and support students’ interest in manufacturing careers. Donations and scholarships advance the career opportunities needed for these students as they transition from academia into the workforce.
