We couldn’t ask to be in a more exciting marketplace where we get to deliver cutting edge business technology and strategize with the most talented players in the world of business collaboration and communications solutions.

UnifiedCommunications.com, a Lync-focused Microsoft value-added distributor (VAD), today announced that it has attained a Microsoft Gold Communications Competency, demonstrating a “best-in-class” ability and commitment to meet Microsoft Corp. customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment and distinguishing itself within the top 1 percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.

To earn a Microsoft Gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate their Microsoft Certified Professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must pass other qualifying assessments.

"Several years ago we made the smart decision to rally around Microsoft Lync, soon to be Skype for Business," said Jason Herbst, CEO, " and now we're helping organizations leverage this game-changing technology through our Lync optimized devices division that provides headsets, IP phones, webcams, Lync room systems, gateways, load balancers, Busylights, cloud solutions and more. This Microsoft Gold Communications competency demonstrates our commitment to achieving continued excellence in our core competency."

UnifiedCommunications.com attributes their continued success to the hard working professionals in their organization who work tirelessly to provide their clients with best-of-breed solutions to their communications and collaboration needs.

Ryan Herbst, VP and Chief Device Strategist, said, “We’re proud of this achievement. We couldn’t ask to be in a more exciting marketplace where we get to deliver cutting edge business technology and strategize with the most talented players in the world of business collaboration and communications solutions. 2014 has been our best year yet with record-breaking sales, inclusion in the Inc. 5000, our new Lync meeting room demo facility, receiving the TMCnet UC Product of the Year Award for our web-based device selection portal, and now achieving the Microsoft Partner Gold competency."

“By achieving a Gold Competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
