One Nevada Credit Union Partners with The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program to Donate over 100 Gifts to Local Children
:Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 12, 2014 -- One Nevada Credit Union is proud to announce their partnership this holiday season with the Salvation Army and their Angel Tree Program. This is the credit union’s eighth year collecting holiday gifts for children who are less fortunate.
The Angel Tree Program gives individuals throughout the community the opportunity to provide holiday gifts for children who otherwise might not receive gifts during the holiday season. The Salvation Army carefully screens participating families who receive the gifts. Angel tags with the requested gifts are given out to donating participants in order to fulfill the children’s (“angels”) wishes for particular items.
Credit Union employees had the opportunity to adopt as many “angels” as they wished to provide gifts between $10 and $30 (angels have 2 items on the angel tag listed and both items are requested to be purchased). One Nevada’s Human Resource team provided the tags to participating employees and collected the toys on December 5. Sixty tags were requested and 120 gifts were provided for the Angel Tree Program.
“It is One Nevada’s pleasure to assist the Salvation Army in making sure that children in our community have gifts to open this holiday season. Our employees look forward to participating in the Angel Tree program every year and bringing joy and smiles to these deserving children, “ said Beth Galofaro, Assistant Vice President, Human Resources.
