Dr. Li-Korotky of Bend, Oregon, and Dr. Moneypenny, of Alamogordo, NM, demonstrate their commitment to professional excellence in audiology through ABA certification

The American Board of Audiology (ABA) today announced that Ha-Sheng Li-Korotky, AuD, of Bend, OR, and Allison T. Moneypenny, AuD, of Alamogordo, NM, are now Board Certified in Audiology®. By obtaining this certification, Drs. Li-Korotky and Moneypenny demonstrate their commitment to professional excellence in audiology.

The ABA identifies and formally recognizes audiologists whose knowledge base is consistent with the highest professionally established credentials and distinguishes them as Board Certified in Audiology. By entering into this voluntary certification program, Dr. Li-Korotky and Dr. Moneypenny have demonstrated commitment both to achieving and maintaining high professional standards and to remaining current in the latest audiology developments and issues.

The Board Certified in Audiology is administered by the ABA for the express purpose of certifying audiologists. The credential helps consumers recognize those individuals who have completed standardized education and training and are committed to continuing their professional development.

Brudereck, AuD, Chair of the Board of Governors for the ABA, notes, “Achieving ABA Board Certified in Audiology certification is a way for audiologists to demonstrate commitment and dedication to the field and to excellence in audiology,” said Dr. Brudereck. “By taking this voluntary step, Drs. Li-Korotky and Moneypenny show their patients and colleagues that they care deeply about audiology and want to stay current in best practices.”

The ABA has been granting certification to audiologists since 1999. Board Certified in Audiology is a voluntary certification program administered by audiologists for audiologists through the ABA. Benefits accrue to both the audiologist and the consumer through recognition of the commitment to continued education in the field of audiology.
