California Southern University Honored as Orange County “Top Workplace”
Irvine, California (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- California Southern University has been recognized as one of Orange County’s 100 Top Workplaces. The survey and awards program has been conducted by the Orange County Register since 2008.
The rankings are based upon a survey conducted by the Register in conjunction with employee survey specialist Workplace Dynamics, LLP. Employees were asked to respond anonymously to 26 questions regarding their workplace experience and the leadership of their organization. More than 975 Orange County employers were asked to participate, with approximately 36,000 employees responding to the survey. Questions were related to a variety of workplace factors, including management, organizational ethics, pay and benefits, communication and transparency, social responsibility, training and resources.
California Southern University was recognized as a Top 100 Workplace, and ranked 18th among 50 organizations of similar size.
“The university is honored to be included on the Orange County Register’s 100 Top Workplaces list,” says Dr. Caroll Ryan, president of CalSouthern. “It is especially gratifying because our culture is so important to us. We work diligently to create an atmosphere of mutual caring, respect and support. This culture is now part of CalSouthern’s DNA; it informs everything we do and every decision we make. It’s something that we practice in our workplace and—just as important—it extends to our relationship with our students and alumni.”
The Orange County Register’s 100 Top Workplaces is the second workplace honor CalSouthern has received this year. In July, the university was named one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Orange County by the Orange County Business Journal.
