World Class Industries Recognizes and Re-Brands W.D. Allen; Supply Chain Support Services Expanded
Hiawatha, IA (PRWEB) December 30, 2014 -- W.D. Allen has always been a world class organization and now it will bear the name World Class Industries.
The company, with locations in Crystal Lake, IL (USA) and Worcester, UK, was acquired by World Class Industries in 2013. The complete suite of World Class Industries service offerings including vendor consolidation, order fulfillment, kitting and assembly, are now available through these locations which have proven to be worthy of the World Class name. A re-branding effort is now taking place that will include replacement of all signage and materials as well as formal announcements to all customers, vendors and partners.
According to World Class Industries President Brent Cobb, there was a natural fit with W.D. Allen service offerings and those of World Class Industries, who provided the technology, processes and experience to enable new levels of customer support.
“It was clear that with our help, W.D. Allen could provide much more value to existing clients. We've proven this over the last year and are excited to formally announce this facility is now an additional hub for all World Class Industries services,” stated Cobb.
W.D. Allen was a privately-owned industrial belt and hose distributorship that began in Downtown Chicago in 1869. They eventually moved to Niles, IL and transitioned from a national manufacturing distributor to a supply chain manager that focused on the relationships between customers and suppliers worldwide. In 1987, W.D. Allen became the first non-manufacturing firm to become a Certified Caterpillar Supplier.
With sixteen years of employment at W.D. Allen, Accounting Manager Barb Martucci, indicated that the transition of ownership has been positive and that the facility and staff will confidently embrace the World Class Industries name.
“World Class Industries brought in the technology and processes that enables us to serve our customers more efficiently, which in turn has led to higher customer satisfaction,” stated Martucci.
Vice President Sandy Kaloupek added that in today’s manufacturing environment, professionals are faced with highly complex supply chains, challenging supplier management issues, as well as space and capital restraints.
She stated that, “World Class Industries works as a partner and a resource for logistics, operations, engineering and purchasing professionals. We welcome all of our customers to explore innovative, new problem-solving options.”
