Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) October 01, 2015 -- On Thursday, October 8, 2015, Bethesda Green will celebrate its 6th Annual Gala at the historic Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club, an event highlighted by announcement of the winners of the 2015 Bethesda Magazine “Green Awards.”
The annual fundraiser promises to be “a memorable evening of community engagement and fun, networking with regional environmental leaders, policy makers and green business entrepreneurs,” said Bethesda Green Executive Director Veronique Marier. “The Gala is a time to come together as a community to recognize, be inspired by, and celebrate the achievements of our green champions. It also offers an opportunity for those interested in our mission to get to know us. Our unique silent auction of eco-friendly items enhances this fundraiser’s experience and benefits our mission. ”
“This year’s winners represent diverse parts of our community, local businesses, non-profits, schools and individuals,” said Steve Hull, editor and publisher of Bethesda Magazine, “but have at least one thing in common: a commitment to promoting a more sustainable way of life.”
Bethesda Magazine will profile the honorees in its November/December issue. Award winners and runners-up will be disclosed at the Gala.
On October 8, media representatives are invited to attend a VIP pre-Gala reception starting 5:45 pm at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club, 7719 Wisconsin Ave to meet the Award Winners, Bethesda Green Board Members, entrepreneurs from our Green Business Incubator, other public officials and special guests in attendance.
