Candlecopia to Produce Home Fragrance Products in New Southern Tennessee Micro-factory
Waynesboro, TN (PRWEB) January 01, 2015 -- Candlecopia, a national brand of home fragrance products, today announce the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Waynesboro, TN. The company, which was launched in 2009, but didn't really start making major strides until a few years later, has really hit a growth spurt lately. Candlecopia is owned by Bekkey and Tony Bierman, both native to Muscatine, IA.
“I take satisfaction from knowing that thousands of people in homes all across the U.S. enjoy using our products to brighten their environment and define their space,” says co-founder Bekkey Bierman. Bekkey runs the day-to-day production process, a demanding yet satisfying job. “Our home fragrance products are used in all 50 states, all major U.S. territories, and even a few other countries.” Bekkey is a disabled veteran of the U.S. Navy, and the daughter of Gary and Linda Klebe of Muscatine, IA. Bekkey used her G.I. Bill funds to graduate Muscatine Community College with a degree in Horticulture.
Candlecopia’s manufacturing process is managed by a custom software application affectionately named Vince after the famous football coach Vince Lombardi. “We’re both die-hard Green Bay Packers fans. The Packers are how we met, and the common bond that we formed our relationship around, ” says co-founder Tony Bierman. “It seemed appropriate that the software which runs our business be named after coach Lombardi.”
Much more than just an anecdote, Vince is a key to Candlecopia’s success. The son of Rick and Pam Bierman of Muscatine, IA, Tony is a veteran software developer and software industry executive, recognized by Microsoft as a leader in the field. After working with mainframe systems for the U.S. Air Force, Tony spent 8 years in the IT Department of HNI Corporation of Muscatine, IA. Mr. Bierman then spent 8 years as a software executive for SharePoint Solutions of Brentwood, TN. Retired from the software industry in 2013, Tony went to work full-time for Candlecopia. “Our manufacturing demands we’re growing at rate which demanded automation. Developed in-house, Vince tells us what to make when, and how much is needed. Major manufacturers all have software to manage the production process, but good software of this type is extremely expensive,” Tony notes. “The real talent at Candlecopia is Bekkey, with her knack for identifying successful new products and her strong work ethic. But, software like Vince is a luxury for a producer of our small size, and frankly a competitive advantage.”
What does the future hold for Candlecopia? “Carrying forward a mantra from my years at HNI Corp., at Candlecopia we believe in aggressive, profitable growth. We’ll continue to expand into areas we feel are both profitable and within our ability execute,” states Tony. “Our goal is to employ more folks here in Waynesboro, while continuing to provide our national customer base with quality, natural home fragrance products.”
