Ahern & Associates Announces Two More Letters of Intent Issued by Clients; Looks Ahead to 2015
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 08, 2015 -- As 2014 draws to a close, industry-leading transportation consulting firm Ahern & Associates has announced two more letters of intent issued by clients to ring in the New Year full speed ahead, adding to the already impressive list of clients who have retained the services of the firm this year.
2014 has proved to be a banner year of growth and success for the transportation consulting firm – its 27th year in business. As Ahern & Associates gears up for its 28th year, Andy Ahern, founder and CEO, reflects on the closing year as well as what’s ahead for both the company and the trucking industry.
One of the brightest highlights of 2014 was the record-breaking fundraising by Ahern & Associates for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, which is the first and largest food bank in the world. Andy Ahern and his team raised well in excess of $1 million in food over the past 16 years for the food bank with various events and fundraisers each year. As emphasized by Mr. Ahern, although more donations than ever are going to the food bank, there is still a growing need for food assistance throughout the country; it is for this reason that Ahern & Associates will continue to raise funds for St. Mary’s in 2015 and beyond.
Another standout point of 2014 for Ahern & Associates is the amount of transactions that were successfully closed during the year. Clients ranged from the small carrier ready to sell to the large corporation looking to acquire smaller businesses in the industry. Many enlisted the help of Ahern & Associates for guidance on management structure, while others looked to the firm for extensive audits on finances or planning. Throughout the year, Ahern received numerous letters of recommendation, letters of client satisfaction, and letters of gratitude for the team’s invaluable service.
Andy Ahern projects that overall, 2015 will be a good year for the trucking industry. “2015 is around the corner, and if you’re not where you need to be, or you’re unhappy with the way things are, then you have to plan to change the outcome,” he advises. “Trucking will continue to be a cyclical business, drivers will continue to be a scarce commodity, drilling down to operating costs will be an absolute necessity to survive and grow, and technology is the way of the future. If you don’t embrace technology or change, then you will have a very difficult time surviving.”
He also believes that planning for 2015 is critical. “In order to plan properly, you need to be brutally honest with yourself: What are your beliefs, values, and what is your strategy to obtain them? Where are you going? Additionally, you must control your environment, internally and externally; that means make decisions and don’t let them get in your way.”
As 2014 wraps up and 2015 prepares to make its grand entrance, Ahern & Associates anticipates a record number of retainers, the highest number of satisfied clients yet, an even greater year of growth, a grand scale of fundraising for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, and the largest service contribution to the transportation and trucking industry to date.
