Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 20, 2015
Blue Whale Web (http://www.bluewhaleweb.com) announced today that it has partnered with award-winning technology journalist Paul Thurrott to launch Thurrott.com, an all-new technology news site primarily focused on providing news, opinion, and how-to articles focused on Microsoft products and services.
“We’re happy to partner with Paul on Thurrott.com and welcome his new site into the Blue Whale Web family of tech publications,” says George Coll, Managing Partner of Blue Whale Web. “Much like the Petri IT Knowledgebase, Paul has always been focused on helping tech-savvy readers get the most out of their technology investments. We’re looking forward to working with Paul as he starts a new chapter with the launch of Thurrott.com.”
In addition to posting the bulk of his content on Thurrott.com, Paul will also write daily news stories for the Petri IT Knowledgebase (Petri.com) and for his Thurrott Daily email newsletter.
“I had a wonderful 15 years at the SuperSite for Windows, where it was my privilege to work alongside some amazing writers, editors, and IT experts,” says Paul Thurrott. "But I'm also excited to start a new chapter with the launch of Thurrott.com, and I'm looking forward to working with my new colleagues at the Petri IT Knowledgebase and Blue Whale Web."
The addition of Thurrott.com to the Blue Whale Web portfolio is the latest in a series of steps by the company to enhance its offerings and better serve the needs of readers and industry partners.
“We’re delighted to partner with Paul on the launch of his new Thurrott.com site, and to also add his entertaining and informative voice to Petri.com,” says Jeff James, Editorial Director of the Petri IT Knowledgebase. “On Petri, Paul will be writing alongside our existing family of IT experts and tech journalists, including Daniel Petri, Jeff Hicks, Aidan Finn, and Russell Smith.”
The Petri IT Knowledgebase launched an all-new site design in October 2014, and switched from a .co.il domain to a .com domain in May 2014. An investment group led by Managing Partner George Coll acquired Blue Whale Web in April 2014.
