Shakopee Public Schools, Minnesota, Adds Campus Finance, HR and Payroll for a Single Integrated Solution
Blaine, Minn. (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- After selecting Infinite Campus SIS, Shakopee Public Schools (SPS) also chose Campus Finance, HR and Payroll for their new business administration suite to give them a single solution. Using only one system will allow SPS to share data seamlessly across the district. “The whole integration between the business suite and the SIS will cut down on a number of steps we were taking with our legacy system. We would spend a lot of time massaging data to make it useful. With Campus Finance, HR and Payroll we no longer have to do that,” says Mike Burlager, director of finance at SPS.
By eliminating third-party systems, SPS will no longer need to send emails notifying staff of updates. Changes are immediately available across the district in real time. Burlager explains, “Now, if human resources add a teacher to the system, that information is instantly available across the district. In the past, we manually sent out communication notifying staff a new employee was hired. This quickly became very messy. Campus integration keeps information accurate and timely.”
The enhanced reporting functionality provides SPS with quick access to data within the district-wide database. Staff can create and share custom reports and package results in a variety of file formats. “Campus Ad Hoc reports help us drill down to see detailed information. Managers and administrators can now find information much faster. Also, streamlining reporting functionality has allowed staff to run their own reports. This means our business office no longer receives calls to pull specific reports…a big benefit of using one system,” says Burlager.
SPS trusted Infinite Campus would have a well-managed implementation process to assure a timely and successful adoption of the product. “It was a very smooth conversion. During the entire process Campus staff was attentive to our concerns and available to call, WebEx or meet in person. We even had Campus staff onsite during our first payroll in case there were any issues,” says Burlager.
