New, Easy-to-Use and Low-Cost Demand Management Solution Provides the Full Power of Powerit’s Spara DM® and Spara Hub® for A Wide Range of Businesses

Powerit Solutions, an international clean technology company that sets the demand management standard, today introduced Spara Go™, a new, easy-to-use and low-cost way for customers to get started with demand management.

Spara Go provides the full demand control, demand response and dynamic pricing functionality of Powerit’s Spara DM® and Spara Hub® technology, but it is designed for systems integrators and experienced facility engineers who need to manage commercial buildings, campus applications or smaller industrial sites with less energy-intensive loads than a typical Spara installation.

A quick-start product, Spara Go is tailored for a simple implementation; it plugs into existing automation technology and is easy to set up via a Web-based interface.

Spara Go comes with a fixed number of preconfigured loads and a fixed amount of support for setup and maintenance. It can manage 10 analog and 10 digital predefined loads and can be set up to handle an entire facility, a subset of loads or ancillary loads.

Like other Spara products, Spara Go incorporates sophisticated load prediction and control algorithms, built-in load-shedding intelligence and data drawn from industrial equipment, electricity meters and utility transmissions to optimize facility energy use. Spara Go also enables a complete suite of demand management strategies and lets customers define rules for controlling energy loads to protect production.

Customers who need to connect more than the preconfigured loads can easily increase their capability through Powerit Solutions. They can also expand to a full Spara DM and Spara Hub implementation when their needs and demand management ambitions grow.

Spara Demand Diagnostics® is an analytical tool that allows Powerit partners and customers to determine potential demand management savings at a facility. It maps to a single utility meter, and can be used across commercial and industrial applications.

Spara Go is designed as an off-the-shelf demand management solution. It’s ready for integration into an automated facility through standard MODBUS registers. Typical applications are commercial building management, campus energy management and less energy-intensive industrial applications.

Spara DM is designed for energy-intensive and facility microgrid applications. It’s available with full turnkey implementation engineering, project management and integration services. Load control scales to meet facility needs. Typical applications are energy-intensive industrial applications generally over 1MW in peak demand.

Spara Hub is a hosted energy platform that links to multiple data streams and allows users to quickly get a comprehensive view of their energy usage and costs to enable optimal control for savings and sustainability. It connects changing utility data with changing customer load information in real time, enabling energy-use decisions based on the price of electricity. Spara Hub® provides robust hosting for energy data, up-to-date energy pricing data and integration with the latest ISO, utility and aggregator programs.
