Missouri Land Company Announces New Single-Family Home Community, New Brand for Established Residential Division
Farmington, MO (PRWEB) March 09, 2015 -- Missouri Land Company, Southeast Missouri’s premier residential, commercial, and rental real estate and land development company, will open its latest single-family home community—The Highlands at Countryside—to the public on Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. Missouri Land Company’s decision to purchase and develop the property initiated the branding of the company’s established residential construction division for added market clarity. The Highlands will be the first community marketed under the Journey Home Builders brand.
Located off of old Fredericktown Road in St. Francois County, The Highlands is one mile from Farmington City limits and will feature 41, half-acre residential lots for sale. Formerly known as Wolf Creek Development, The Highlands features lot prices starting at $19,900. With unparalleled views of the Ozark mountains, homes within The Highlands range from $109,900 to $179,900. This community offers affordable country living; buyers can choose from five floor plans of three- to five-bedroom homes, ranging in size from 1,100 to 1,700 square feet. All lots are located within the Farmington School District.
This division—and development—comes with additional staff. Shawn Merritt was hired in 2014 and is the sales coordinator for The Highlands. Zach Govreau joined MO Land Company in 2009 and is The Highlands’ senior project manager.
“We are excited about The Highlands development because there is a growing demand for affordable, single-family options near the Old Fredericktown corridor,” said Missouri Land Company’s CEO, Matt Burgess. “The soft open of our seventh residential community development offered the perfect time to separately brand our residential construction division, now known as Journey Home Builders.”
Although Missouri Land Company has built approximately 450 custom homes and six residential communities ranging in size from 36 to 150 homes since its inception in 2008, the marketplace associated the company with commercial land development and rental property management.
“I would cringe every time someone approached me on the street and asked if I knew a great custom home builder,” said Burgess. “With Journey Home Builders as the residential construction division of Missouri Land Company, I believe this line of services—and the fact that we appreciate that each new home purchase is a process and personal journey—becomes much more apparent.”
Journey Home Builders plans to introduce three total residential communities in 2015. Missouri Land Company predicts that the residential construction division will contribute 40% of the company’s projected 75% earnings increase over 2014.
