Fluoride Action North Texas Announces: We Will Be Holding a Fluoridation Protest Wed 3/25/15 8-8:45 am Outside Dallas City Hall 1500 Marilla Led by Regina Imburgia
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Regina explains, “On January 28, 2014 thirteen members of the Dallas City Council voted to approve Agenda Item #44; a three year contract with Mosaic for the purchase of Hydrofluorosilicic Acid. Rick Callahan was the only Council-member to voice his support for Agenda Item #44 before the vote was taken." Councilman Callahan said, “Dr Wolinsky says it is beneficial I believe him”. Callahan also said, “I received over 200 emails from Dental Organizations, Scientific Groups, American Medical Society”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSxT24z-D5A&feature=youtu.be&t=31m26s
Regina informs us, “Documents received from an Open Records Request for all of Councilman Callahan’s emails having anything to do with Fluoride from January 1, 2014 to January 29, 2015 reveal that Callahan received thirteen pro-fluoridation emails. The remainder of the 199 pages received from the Open Records Request were over 600 opposing Fluoridation and requesting CM Callahan vote no to fluoridation and the purchase of the Hydrofluorosilicic Acid. On March 25th during one of the presentations we will play the video clip of Callahan’s comments and we will show the open record documents that prove otherwise".
Fluoride Action North Texas is declaring, “We warned the Dallas City Council their vote to purchase the Hydrofluorosilicic Acid to continue fluoridation would make our voice opposing fluoridation louder. The message was delivered by Brittney Olsen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2IfGk-L6xo&feature=youtu.be&t=3m39s. On March 25th our large and diverse group will stand together to voice; we are outraged the council ignored the science that shows fluoridation is not safe and effective for everyone. We are livid the Council did not take advantage of the many opportunities at their disposal to have open debates or conversation with the experts about fluoridation. We are appalled at the blatant disregard for the voice of the people and the Council’s lack of informing the public. This group of thirteen voted to continue a program that the risks far outweigh the supposed benefits. We assert The Dallas City Council's action of purchasing the Hydrofluorosilicic Acid to be added to the Dallas Water Supply as a willful disregard for the health of the public. This action cannot go unchallenged. We will hold a press conference at 10:00 am to expand on the statements made in the chambers to the council.”
The reporter for Newsweek Magazine, Douglas Main, wrote in his March 10, 2015 article about Fluoridation and Hydrofluorosilicic Acid http://www.newsweek.com/water-fluoridation-linked-higher-adhd-rates-312748, “Several studies have suggested that this form of fluoride can leach lead from pipes, says Steve Patch, at UNC-Asheville. Other work shows that children in fluoridated areas have elevated blood lead levels, and fluoride may also increase the absorption of lead into the body, says Bruce Lanphear, an epidemiologist at Simon Fraser University. Lead itself is a potent neurotoxin and has been shown to play a role in ADHD," Lanphear adds.
Regina says, "The concerns about Hydrofluorosilicic Acid leeching lead from the pipes was brought to the attention of the Dallas City Council on December 10, 2014.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOqgEwgfaDE#t=25
Dallas Councilman Sheffie Kadane stood strong against purchasing the Hydrofluorosilicic Acid, “stating the fluoride is not pharmaceutical grade and it contains contaminates. We have enough fluoride .5ppm in the untreated water, and we will save the City over a Million dollars.”
Ms Imburgia states, Councilman Adam Medrano also voted against Agenda Item #44. Regina says, “Councilman Medrano told me he had been listening to the information opposing Fluoridation. Especially the day LULAC Leader Henry Rodriguez spoke, informing the Dallas City Council LULAC Nationally Opposes Fluoridation." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUH8vFdGgjc
Regina says, “CM Kadane and CM Medrano stood against status quo and they are revered as heroes for many. A vote of Nine Council Members can Halt Fluoridation in Dallas. Fluoridation is not safe or effective. Spread the word of this event and join us as we send this message on March 25th”.
