Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM). Now in its 102nd year, AGRM is an association of nearly 300 rescue missions across North America. AGRM member ministries annually utilize some 300,000 volunteers and 10,000 staff to serve approximately 50 million meals, provide 25 million nights’ of shelter and housing, distribute 30 million pieces of clothing, bandage the wounds of hundreds of abuse victims, and graduate more than 20,000 homeless men and women from addiction-recovery programs into productive living.
Rescue missions have been serving the poor in America since the 1870s. They are experts at providing effective care for men, women, and children who are hungry, homeless, abused, or addicted. Today, rescue missions that are members of AGRM provide life-changing services in 46 states and in more than 175 congressional districts across the United States.
AGRM is North America’s oldest and largest network of crisis shelters and rehabilitation centers, offering radical hospitality in the name of Jesus.
DC Forum. More than 30 rescue mission executives and young leaders from across North America will gather in Washington, D.C. to discuss and learn more about vital public policy issues facing rescue missions today. The forum will bring rescue mission professionals together with senior HUD, White House, and Interagency Council on Homelessness officials to discuss a revised Opening Doors report and federal housing policy. In addition, AGRM attendees will meet with their own U.S. Senators and Representatives, as well as committee staff on Capitol Hill that write the laws the federal agencies carry out.
Rescue missions provide some of the nation’s most effective and efficient rehabilitation, education, job training, and life skills programs for homeless men, women, and children.
