The Board of Directors of InvestiQuant, Inc. are pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Egger as an independent director of the firm, effective immediately.

“Daniel is an extraordinary talent with an ideal skill set to assist our company as we expand our services for quantitative traders and investors. His twenty years of experience leading successful information technology ventures as a Founder/CEO, and as a Managing Partner of a venture capital fund, will prove invaluable to InvestiQuant and our clients,” said InvestiQuant Co-Founder and CEO, Scott Andrews about Mr. Egger’s appointment.

Daniel Egger is currently serving as Executive in Residence and Director of the Center for Quantitative Modeling (CQM), Pratt School of Engineering, at Duke University. “Having worked closely with Scott in launching his first company, I am genuinely delighted to have the opportunity to do it again. It will be very rewarding to assist InvestiQuant in helping active investors trade smarter by using professional-grade quantitative research.”

Mr. Egger is the inventor of fundamental Internet enabling technologies licensed to all major commercial search engines, and holds undergraduate and Law degrees from Yale University. He is currently teaching several graduate level Engineering Management courses at Duke University: Data Mining, Optimization, and Data Visualization, New Opportunities in Big Data, Computational Finance, and Advanced Financial Engineering.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Daniel Egger’s recent CQM consulting engagements include:

  • Lazard Asset Management and Russell Investments – “Cross-Sectional Dispersion and Active Manager Excess Returns”
  • Deutsche Bank – “Dispersion and Cohesion in Worldwide Equity Market Returns”
  • AdviseStream (Duke spinout acquired by Kaplan in 2014) – “Predictive Analytics for Medical School Applicant Acceptance Rates”
