Shweiki Media Printing Company is pleased to announce that this year they will again be donating their printing services to The Arc of San Antonio and serving as a sponsor for The Arc's largest fundraiser, Roses & Races.
The event--an annual derby-themed party that serves as the single biggest fundraiser for The Arc--will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, at The Lambermont on 950 E Grayson Street. Over 300 San Antonians are expected to don their derby attire and show up for the festivities, the proceeds of which will go to assisting The Arc in their mission: enhancing the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
For over 60 years, The Arc has been dedicated to helping this demographic, and Roses & Races is only one of their many efforts. Last year alone, The Arc hosted 11 workshops and one extensive resource fair, while each month, Arc participants engage with the community through over 50 events. Arc outreach team members and support staff also work with over 1,000 families in Bexar County, providing resources and assistance, and each day, more than 300 adults and 90 kids attend The Arc's adult day habilitation and after-school program at the organization's two locations (13430 West Avenue and the Pam Stephens Center located on 6530 Wurzbach).
