Officevibe Secures $1M To Reinvent Workplaces Across The Globe
Montreal, QC (PRWEB) May 14, 2015 -- Today, Officevibe, the real-time employee engagement platform, announced that they have raised a $1M seed round from GSoft Ventures to help fuel their rapid growth. Disengaged employees (what they refer to as The Working Dead) are costing companies in the US over $550 Billion in lost productivity.
Officevibe launched 5 months ago and already has thousands of happy customers in 64 countries, with customers ranging from startups like UserVoice to large enterprises like Bose. They have established partnerships with Yammer and Microsoft, and upcoming partnerships with Salesforce, and integrations with platforms like Slack, BambooHR and Zenefits are imminent.
Officevibe is experiencing fast-paced growth because of the frustration with traditional HR processes around employee surveys. They usually have a lot of overhead and are unpleasant for both employees and managers. Industry averages for employee survey response rates are around 30%, whereas Officevibe is seeing 75%+ completion rates week after week.
“Knowing that our product is helping companies become a better place to work is why we wake up every morning to do what we do.” said Dan Benoni, Officevibe’s CEO. “We’re all passionate about improving the world of work for the hundreds of millions of employees that are disengaged at work. This funding will help us continue to build a product that our customers love.”
Officevibe’s platform focuses on design and ingenuity in order to increase participation and engagement. Their unique one question a week approach aggregates employee’s anonymous responses, in order to provide a real-time dashboard for managers to view where problems may lie. The system automatically makes recommendations on how to improve based on the data collected, and recommendations also come in the form of written feedback collected from employees.
Officevibe recently found success at TechCrunch's first-ever pitch-off competition in Montreal, where they stood out in full zombie gear to highlight the problem around “The Working Dead.” (http://officevi.be/working-dead) Coming in as one of the eight startups selected to pitch out of hundreds of applications, they ended up as the runner-up, drawing praise from both the judges and the audience. This allowed them to have the opportunity to attend TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference in New York.
