WGBH Selects Corridor’s Contract Management[.app] Electronic Email Collaboration Product for Collaboration on SharePoint Online and Office 365
Wakefield, MA (PRWEB) May 17, 2015 -- Corridor Company, Inc., the leading provider of contract lifecycle management software powered by the SharePoint platform, is pleased to announce WGBH Boston’s selection of Corridor’s Electronic Email Collaboration (EEC) module of the Contract Management App for SharePoint, CM[.app], to manage its contract and document collaboration process.
As PBS’s single largest producer for television, the Web and mobile, WGBH both creates content and maintains thousands of contracts that control licensing and ownership of content. Such notable programs as NOVA, Masterpiece, Frontline, and American Experience are produced in WGBH's Boston studios and distributed to audiences nationally, and throughout the world.
WGBH’s requirements were broadly grouped into two areas. First, with a large volume of contracts under review each year, WGBH needed an application that supports an efficient negotiation and collaboration process. Corridor Company’s CM[.app] EEC feature addresses WGBH’s requirements on several levels. With EEC, contracts and their associated changes can be readily exchanged and negotiated with counterparty collaboration taking place via email. Upon receipt from the counterparty, the contracts are automatically and securely saved directly into the designated repository with full version management support and automated redlining of all changes made to the document by all parties. With EEC, WGBH will be able to quickly locate an agreement and its current status, and a full version history of the collaboration process and associated changes will be maintained.
Second, WGBH needed the capability to efficiently exchange and update large volumes of other document types including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. By leveraging the collaboration capabilities present within EEC, WGBH will be able to readily exchange updated versions of these document types through email to both internal and external parties. The updated versions of the documents will be automatically checked into the secured repository with a full version control and history. Deployed through Office 365, Corridor’s solution will leverage WGBH’s investment in Microsoft’s Cloud-based version of Office and SharePoint.
“Given the volume and complexity of our collaboration and negotiation process, it was imperative that we find a tool that can provide the functionality that we need to be efficient and effective. Corridor Company’s CM[.app] did just that,” said Kate Van Sleet, Administrative Director of Legal and Business Affairs for WGBH.
Russ Edelman, CEO of Corridor, said, “Our commitment to continuously evolving our product line is being positively received with our momentum in Office 365 deployments. We look forward to providing WGBH with the contract management functionality that they need in the environment where they work, and are delighted to welcome them to the Corridor family.”
