Renewable Choice Energy to Exhibit at Canada Green Building Conference 2015
BOULDER, CO (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- Colorado-based Renewable Choice Energy will join other leading exhibitors at the Canadian Green Building Council’s annual conference, Building Lasting Change, June 2-4 in Vancouver, BC. Since 2003, the firm has supplied more than 6,000 green building projects in more than 22 countries with Green-e® Energy certified renewable energy credits (RECs) and Green-e Climate certified emission reductions to achieve the Green Power LEED points towards their projects certification goals.
The Green Power Credit allows projects to support renewable energy development by choosing RECs and emission reductions, offering affordable points toward LEED certification that significantly reduce a project’s environmental impact. Renewable Choice has been a member of the Canadian Green Building Council since 2009 and has supplied green power to nearly 400 Canadian projects.
The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1998 and has certified more than 2.8 billion square feet. The building standard awards points to global green construction projects that result in LEED certification. The Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) was founded in 2002 to specifically advance green building practices in Canada. Under CaGBC guidelines, a project can receive points under the Energy & Atmosphere Green Power Credit for the purchase of RECs and emission reductions that are EcoLogo certified (or the equivalent Green-e certified).
