TORONTO, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) June 04, 2015
At TU-Automotive Detroit 2015, NNG LLC and iNAGO Inc. will introduce the NNG Assistant, an intelligent, conversational assistant powered by iNAGO's netpeople platform and integrated with NNG’s recently-announced NavFusion Platform. TU-Automotive Detroit is the world's largest event dedicated to the evolution of automotive technology and its connected car, auto-mobility, and autonomous use-cases.
The NNG Assistant is powered by iNAGO’s netpeople assistant platform. Going beyond the simple voice commands and speech recognition that currently exist, drivers can converse with NNG Assistant in everyday natural language. “The NNG Assistant is much more than putting a voice interface in a car,” Ron Di Carlantonio, founder and CEO of iNAGO, explains. “It carries on interactive conversations with drivers to get them exactly what they need at exactly the right time.”
True conversational interaction with vehicles has long been a dream depicted in TV shows and movies. "Ever since the 1980s series Knight Rider, people have been intrigued and excited by the prospect of cognizant, interactive cars," Di Carlantonio continues. "At iNAGO, we are striving to achieve this dream, and the NNG Assistant is the next step towards this goal."
netpeople technology is already deployed in Japan and is now expanding into the global market, starting with North America. “We are proud to have NNG as our first partner in North America,” Di Carlantonio adds. “NNG has been the innovator in navigation for the automotive industry, and has proven they can turn a vision into reality.”
“iNAGO is a gamechanger in the automotive industry,” said Jim Robnett, Vice President of Business Development at NNG. “By combining iNAGO’s netpeople platform with our NavFusion Platform, drivers will have a much more realistic way of dictating voice commands in the vehicle. We’re really happy to have teamed up with such an innovative company and think that together we’ll have the opportunity to improve the core driving experience – making it more intuitive, more interactive, and above all, safer.”
NNG and iNAGO will continue to work together to develop intelligent and conversational in-car assistants that help drivers find information, stay in touch, and make vehicles smarter.
