Burstorm and Rice University Announce the Industry's First Comprehensive and Continuous Price-Performance Benchmark for Cloud Computing
San Carlos, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Burstorm, the CAD application provider for cloud architects, in collaboration with Rice University, released today the industry’s first comprehensive and continuous price-performance benchmark report. The benchmark covered seven cloud service providers, 266 products spanning three continents and was executed for fifteen consecutive days starting in mid May.
"There are a number of challenges to price-performance benchmarking since TPC benchmarks were launched thirty years ago," said Dr. T.S. Eugene Ng, associate professor of Rice University. “Benchmarking today is far more dynamic and includes many more products."
"Many of the results confirmed our initial thoughts," said Edward Wustenhoff, CTO Burstorrm. "But a 622% variation in performance for similar instances across all providers is a significant data point.”
