Set.fm Tapped To Provide Ticket Sales Incentive For GRAMMY Museum Event - Ticket Holders To Receive Post Show Recording Of Entire Performance
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- Set.fm’s real-time live event recording and distribution platform has been selected to capture and instantly distribute a high-quality audio recording of the GRAMMY Museum’s “Session Players Club” event on July 23, 2015.
“Session Players” are the talented and versatile musicians that record and tour with everyone’s favorite artists. They’re the unsung heroes that help headliners sound their best night after night. Two of the best and most experienced are Tony “Cisco” Marsico and Darran “Dewey” Falcone who have played with a long list of legendary rock icons and also front their own band, Cisco & Dewey.
In recognition of the fact that although session players have played a significant role in many of the most treasured recordings over the years they spend most of their time out of the spotlight, the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles will host “Session Players Club” featuring Cisco, Dewey and an all-star line-up they have assembled.
The Session Players Are:
- Cisco & Dewey’s Bassist/Vocalist Tony "Cisco" Marsico (Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Roger Daltrey, Matthew Sweet, Marianne Faithfull, Plugz/Cruzados), and Vocalist/Guitarist/Harmonica player Darran "Dewey" Falcone (Gerry Goffin);
- Grammy-winning Producer/Guitarist/Songwriter Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, Roy Orbison);
- Pedal Steel player Bill Maresh (Dwight Yoakam, Johnny Cash);
- Percussionists Gary Mallaber (Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Los Lobos, Warren Zevon, Bonnie Raitt), and Joel Alpers (Carole King, "Wicked").
Tony ‘Cisco’ Marsico commented, "Man, I would've flipped when I was a young concert goer had I been able to go home with an instant recording of the long sweaty show I was at. Thanks to Set.fm, now everyone can. I really love being able to share these recordings with fans!"
The event’s $10 ticket price includes an exclusive high-quality audio recording of the entire performance which Set.fm will make available for download just moments after the show ends.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the GRAMMY Museum Box Office (213-765-6803) or by visiting http://bit.ly/CDGrammyTix
Fans that are unable to attend the event in person will still be able to buy a copy of the recording after the show by visiting http://bit.ly/SetFM-CD-Grammy
