Cleveland Clinic Pilots Uniphy for Improved Communication and Collaboration Amongst All Care Providers
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- Uniphy Health today announced that it has launched a pilot implementation at the Cleveland Clinic’s Lutheran Hospital facility. Lutheran Hospital will use Uniphy to provide physicians and other important care providers with an easy to access secure communication and collaboration tool, as well as a destination point for important content. By uniting Cleveland Clinic employed physicians with community physicians on a common and secure communication platform, Uniphy improves patient outcomes, improves patient satisfaction and reduces the cost of providing care.
Uniphy combines elements of secure messaging, social media, data visualization, and targeted content into a mobile-friendly platform. In a care setting, physicians, nurses and other care providers use Uniphy to access each other in real time. Uniphy promotes physician engagement by making it easier for clinicians to engage with their leadership and peers. As physicians tend to engage in information relevant to their needs, Uniphy makes it easier to access the shared goals, performance data, continuing education opportunities and important organizational news related to Lutheran Hospital and Cleveland Clinic. In other words, Uniphy filters content to improve physician satisfaction by reducing the “noise”.
“Uniphy is an innovative mobile platform that allows our providers to communicate in a secure manner,” said Dr. Don Malone, President of Lutheran Hospital. “Just as importantly, it will help Cleveland Clinic foster a sense of shared purpose amongst all of our caregivers to improve patient care.”
“Since inception, Cleveland Clinic has shown proven leadership in improving patient care. By making it easier for clinicians of all types to connect with each other via Uniphy, Lutheran Hospital will continue the tradition of innovation that permeates the Cleveland Clinic,” said Chuck French, CEO & Co-Founder of Uniphy Health. “Physicians need tools that align with physician interests and motivators while reducing the burden of an already complicated workday. Uniphy is designed around the providers needs to improve patient care.”
