Black Dress Partners Launches First Annual Midwest Women Business Owners' Conference
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) August 07, 2015 -- Black Dress Partners, a business consulting and coaching organization founded by Erin Joy, announces the launch of the Midwest Women Business Owners’ Conference on Friday, October 23, 2015 at The Ritz Carlton in Clayton, MO. This educational, interactive event will bring top women business leaders throughout the Midwest together to discuss and explore the findings of the WBO 360° Annual Report—the result of a 360° organizational and leadership survey completed by women helming companies worth $1-25 million throughout our region.
“Throughout my career, I’ve worked with hundreds of women business owners to optimize their organizations, and I’ve found there is a real need to collect quantifiable data for this specific market segment, as well as translate the significance of this data,” said Joy. “My team put together a survey to compile this valuable information—and wanted to build a forum for sharing the results and discussing the ramifications. The Midwest Women Business Owners’ Conference is that event.”
During the event, survey results and relevancy will be revealed and expert speakers will tackle salient survey topics. There will be a Leadership, Corporate Culture, and Human Resources panel; an Operations & Productivity segment led by Diane Butrus, Co-Owner & Chief Operating Officer at Bronx/Diba Shoes; a session on how to remove roadblocks to forward trajectory; a marketing presentation given by Andrea Arco, founder of Arco & Associates; and a panel on positioning companies for sale led by Tom Frogge, Partner & Founder of Exxodus Capital Partners LLC, and David Roper, President of Alliant Capital, Inc. In addition, there will be a Celebrity Panel with Talia Goldfarb of Myself Belts, as seen on ABC’s Shark Tank and Sue McCarthy of Women’s Closet Exchange, as seen on Style Network’s Resale Royalty. Breakfast, lunch, and a networking cocktail hour are included in ticket prices.
The event is being supported by over 20 sponsors, including Saint Louis University's Entrepreneurship Center, University College at Washington University in St. Louis, Anders, Husch Blackwell, and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
“This is unlike anything our area has seen before,” said Keli Jackson, Director of Marketing and Admissions, University College at Washington University in St. Louis. “It’s not surprising that women are traveling from Indiana and Ohio to attend. In fact, I expect The Midwest Women Business Owners’ Conference to become a valuable, must-attend annual event for anyone interested in learning from or networking with this successful group of area influencers.”
Attendance to the event is capped at 240 and tickets can be purchased at mwboc.eventbrite.com. For more information, visit http://www.midwestwboconference.com.
