Green Point of View, an Ecommerce Website Focused on Sustainable Products and Environmental Education, Announces its Official Launch Today
Long Island, New York (PRWEB) August 11, 2015 -- Green Point of View, an ecommerce website focused on sustainable products and environmental education, announces its official launch today. The carefully crafted selection of over 1,000 eco-friendly home goods is complimented by relevant and informative content on environmental issues and current events, making it the first eco-commerce website to function as an information resource as well as a store.
“We didn’t want to just open another eco-friendly store” says Green Point of View President Tim Fortner. “There’s a lack of information for consumers that we want to fix. I honestly believe that understanding why to choose eco-friendly alternatives is more important than just buying them blindly”.
The Green Point of View website is divided into three sections to create a headquarters for sustainable living:
Discover current events, sustainable solutions, and the Green Point of View community in the 'Explore' section. “The Gist”, a weekly news brief that breaks down the week’s environmental headlines, will keep the users engaged in the relevant issues and aware of impactful events. Mini documentaries highlighting sustainable projects and local issues, as well as a collection of user- submitted images and videos, are soon to come.
The 'Learn' section is where users can find comprehensive background information on the environmental and health-related concepts that affect us everyday. The articles are heavily researched and regularly updated so that users can trust them as a definitive guide.
At the Shop users are able to apply what they've learned throughout the Green Point of View website to equip their sustainable lifestyle. The selection of over 1,000 eco-friendly products fills 6 categories: Grocery & Gourmet, Home & Garden, Health & Beauty, Bath & Body, Baby & Kids, and Pet Care. Each product is tagged with the ‘Green Traits’ that indicate its healthy and eco-friendly attributes and any certifications it has been awarded, so that users have a clear understanding of what makes it green.
“We really wanted to create an experience that was inviting for people who are just beginning to learn about their impact as well as interesting and useful for people who are already passionate about living this lifestyle”, says Tim. “ Its important for everyone to care and want to live better, however, we don’t want it to be an intimidating or expensive endeavor”.
Green Point of View, Inc. looks forward to continuing to develop their content to include more articles about broad concepts, mini documentaries on environmental problems and solutions, adding more products to the store, and implementing features to include the community and facilitate a dialogue among users.
