7th Annual BREW to be Held in Downtown Shreveport on Saturday, Oct. 17
Shreveport, LA (PRWEB) August 13, 2015 -- The 7th annual BREW will be held, 2-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. During the event, beer lovers can sample from among more than 100 craft beers, including brews from all Louisiana craft breweries as well as local home brewers. All beers poured at this year’s event will be from craft brewers, and every beer will be represented by the brewery owner or brewmaster. This year’s event will celebrate Louisiana beers. BREW will also feature live music by Roses & Revolvers, college football games shown on video walls and food from some of Shreveport-Bossier’s most popular eateries. Tickets are $60 each and may be purchased online at http://www.shreveportbrew.com. Guests must be 21 years of age or older in order to attend BREW.
BREW is an annual fundraiser benefitting the Red River Revel Arts Festival and Mudbug Madness Festival, two of Shreveport-Bossier’s most popular and longest-running cultural events. The 7th annual BREW is presented by Red River Revel, Inc., Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and sponsored by Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport.
“We are especially excited to have representatives from so many Louisiana breweries in attendance at this year’s BREW,” said Melanie Bacon, executive director of Downtown Shreveport Unlimited. “They are looking forward to talking with our patrons about how they make their beers and how they are running their breweries.”
The 2015 event will also include the Spiegelau Beer Connoisseur Tasting Seminar, 12:30-1:30 p.m., featuring an educational seminar led by Lindsay Johnson Nations of Great Raft Brewing in Shreveport. Admission to the Spiegelau Beer Connoisseur Tasting Seminar is $35 per person. Seminar participants will receive a Spiegelau Beer Connoisseur 3-piece glassware set to keep.
