Bright Kids Inc. Expands Scholarship Program Through Their New Bright Kids Foundation
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 17, 2015 -- For many years, Bright Kids has provided scholarship opportunities for students preparing to take the NYC Gifted and Talented Exam. Now, through their nonprofit foundation, Bright Kids will open up applications for Common Core ELA & Math Test Prep Tutoring Scholarships for students in 4th and 7th grades. Bright Kids will adjust their preparation materials when the New York State test changes in the next few years.
2016 Scholarship applications will open by Fall 2015 for families in the New York City area. The goal of the New York City Common Core ELA & Math Scholarship program is to promote participation of those students who show great potential to succeed, but whose families do not have the financial means necessary to purchase tutoring services. By reducing the cost of our Common Core ELA & Math 1:1 tutoring package, Bright Kids hopes to provide scholarship recipients a chance at academic success regardless of their current socioeconomic status.
Eligible children will be able to participate in our Common Core ELA & Math individual tutoring package at a reduced cost. The 8 session package includes an initial diagnostic, individualized one-on-one tutoring in our downtown office, and preparation books for supplemental practice. Families must contribute at least $250 per child. The scholarship awarded covers the cost of the bootcamp package less the cost of the initial diagnostic ($250 per child). Any additional sessions not included in the scholarship award can be purchased at a discounted rate.
