Wi-Tronix Co-Founders, Lawrence B. Jordan, Jr. and Michael Heilmann, Honored with Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for Innovation
Bolingbrook, Illinois (PRWEB) August 25, 2015 -- Daily Herald Business Ledger announced August 18 that Lawrence (Larry) B. Jordan, Jr. and Michael (Mike) Heilmann have been selected as honorees of the 2015 Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in the Innovation category.
Larry Jordan, President, and Mike Heilmann, Executive Vice President, started Wi-Tronix in 2004 with a vision to bring remote monitoring to the rail industry. Today, their innovative idea has grown into a company with products and services that monitor over 9,000 high-value mobile assets around the world.
This award recognizes suburban Chicagoland business leaders who demonstrate the best qualities of an entrepreneur, including perseverance, drive, business creativity, and willingness to take risk. The honorees were selected from nominations of business leaders from suburban Cook County, DuPage County, Kane County, Lake County, McHenry County, and Will County.
The Innovation Award is presented to nominees who “transform the entrepreneurial dream into the reality of a tangible product or technology that will solve a problem is the first defining benchmark of entrepreneurial success. This award recognizes the best innovation-based products, technologies, systems or practices,” according to the Business Ledger’s website.
Other award categories include Early Stage, Growth, Lifetime Achievement, Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs, Regional Spirit, and Young Entrepreneur (under age of 40).
Larry and Mike will accept their awards at a reception on Wednesday, September 16 at the Naperville Campus of Northern Illinois University. The keynote speaker of the awards event is Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz, Making It Happen Director, of JJR Marketing. Jackie is an award-winning entrepreneur, national speaker, philanthropist and author of seven books.
The honorees will also be profiled in the October 12th issue of the Business Ledger.
