Greenberg Traurig Tampa Shareholder Murray B. Silverstein Reappointed by Florida Supreme Court to Florida Courts Technology Commission
TAMPA, Fla. (PRWEB) August 31, 2015 -- Murray B. Silverstein, a Shareholder in the Tampa Litigation Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been reappointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve on the Florida Courts Technology Commission (FCTC). Silverstein has been an active member of the commission since 2007 and will serve for another three year-term.
The FCTC was established in 2010 for the purpose of advising the Chief Justice and Supreme Court on matters relating to the use of technology in the Judicial Branch. The FCTC recommends technology policy and procedural rules to the Supreme Court regarding the ongoing development and implementation of Florida’s statewide electronic courts system.
“I am honored to accept this reappointment and will continue to work with my fellow commissioners to further develop the use of technology in our state court system,” Silverstein said. “As technology continues to change, it is critical that we find the way to make our system as efficient as possible for all participants.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Silverstein focuses his practice on business, commercial, and real property litigation. He regularly represents companies and individuals in jury and non-jury trials in the state and federal courts of Florida. He is board certified in Business Litigation and Civil Trial practice by The Florida Bar. Additionally, Silverstein has provided effective mediation services to hundreds of litigants. Silverstein is a prior recipient of the President’s Pro Bono Service Award and the Stetson University Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Public Service Award for pro bono service.
