Converged Communication Systems (CCS) and Avaya are hosting an Avaya IP Office & Business Benefits Knowledge Transfer event on Thursday, September 17 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Avaya Demo Center at 30 S. Wacker in Chicago. The event – which features two sessions with various training tracks – will give current IP Office customers and those looking to purchase IP Office the opportunity to learn more and get hands-on experience.
During the event, attendees will learn how Avaya IP Office can lower costs and drive business growth by allowing companies to expand from five employees at one location to 1,000 or more workers at an unlimited number of locations. Additionally, the sessions will cover how IP Office allows businesses to connect home and remote workers and gain new features and capabilities such as mobility, video conferencing and a full-fledged sales/customer service center simply by adding software.

The event features additional business benefits and admin tracks for individuals who have previously attended IP Office training. Attendees will also get the opportunity to visit the Avaya demo lounges. Matt Furrer will present on behalf of Avaya, and the speakers for CSS include Kevin Rubin, Michael Donis and Jesse Miller.
The first session will take place from noon to 2:45 p.m. and will include lunch, introductions, and six different breakout sessions. The training tracks and breakout sessions will cover topics including small business SEO tips, the benefits of IP Office Server Edition and converting to a full IP (VoIP/SIP) solution, and intelligent business collaboration with Avaya Live and Avaya Video. Event participants will also have the opportunity to attend IP Office Voicemail PRO training, basic IP Office manager administrative training, and a whiteboard session with Avaya experts about building a more redundant voice and data network.
During the second session, which will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees will learn about Web administration with Avaya IP Office R9.1: IP Office IP500v2 Preferred Edition and IP Office Server Edition. The second session will also have training tracks and breakout sessions covering how to do more with IP Office and Voicemail PRO, basic IP Office Voicemail PRO training, and how to provide a better customer experience with basic IP Office and IP Office Contact Center.
Additionally, attendees will have the chance to ask experts about basic IP Office programming and to learn about incorporating Avaya ESNA into business cloud applications. There will also be a breakout session on using one-X Portal and Power User to provide a single interface for office, home, remote and mobile working.
