Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome's 19th Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk and Fundraiser Scheduled for Sunday, September 27 in City Park
Denver (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- Help raise money for Down syndrome by walking, running – or skipping, jogging, singing, dancing, or strolling – in the 19th annual Step Up for Down syndrome fundraiser!
Sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association (RMDSA), the event – which hosts thousands of attendees and teams – is a day of fun, awareness, music, and games, and will take place in Denver’s City Park on Sunday, September 27th.
This year’s goal is to raise $300,000. Funds raised go to serve the needs of those living with Down syndrome and their loved ones and caregivers. By supporting RMDSA’s work you are ensuring that people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to live independently, gain meaningful employment, have access to post-secondary education programs, and lead typical lives.

This year there are several options for parking at City Park. The Museum of Nature and Science will have handicap parking available. You must have a placard and one car per family will be allowed to park at the museum. There is on-street parking available in the neighborhood and limited parking at the zoo.
Parking is free at East High with shuttle service to the park. We highly recommend this option. A drop off point in the park allows the driver to unload everyone and then park free at East High. Shuttles will be running from 7:30 – 12:30. East High is located at 1600 City Park Esplanade.
