Growing Oakwood Consulting Firm Adds Depth to Sales Team with Former Microsoft Exec
ST. LOUIS, MO (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- Oakwood Systems Group, a leading information technology consulting firm serving Fortune 500 and mid-market tiers throughout the U.S., South America, U.K., Europe and Southeast Asia, has added sales veteran and former Microsoft Exec, Scott Stranczek.
Scott joins Oakwood after a 17-year career with Microsoft. Scott started with Microsoft in 1997 joining as an Account Executive in Dallas as part of the South Central District for 5 years. His accounts included Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Radio Shack, Nortel, Southland, and Blockbuster. Scott then went to the Microsoft Services organization with Premier Support in 2001 moving to St. Louis and assuming responsibility for the Mid America District as the Support Practice Manager where he lead a team of technical professionals accountable for key business results including customer satisfaction, revenue growth and activities including integration with the Microsoft account teams and attainment of “trusted advisor” status with their customers.
Stranczek then became the Director of Business Development for the Business Mission Critical/Cloud Services team covering the US, Canada and Latin America in a high growth, “start-up” business within Microsoft’s Services teams. The team more than doubled revenue and average deal size during his tenure in the group.
“Scott couldn’t have joined us at a better time as Oakwood comes off recent big wins and recognition from Microsoft for the Enterprise Compete Partner of the Year Award along with the Top Partner Seller Award and Top Consumption Partner Award for 2015,” stated CEO of Oakwood, Charles Windsor.
Scott Stranczek’s addition to the high-growth consulting firm will have a dual impact on revenue opportunities as it allows current VP of Sales, Dan Capra, former Accenture VP of Sales (Cloud, SaaS and BPaaS), to focus effort in the exploding Kansas City market, where Oakwood has doubled its Overland Park team size twice within the last year.
Scott says he is excited about the opportunity to stay closer to home in St. Louis and “could not be more thrilled to join Oakwood and help contribute to growing and driving the business forward.”
Since 1981, Oakwood has served over 11,000 organizations globally — in North America, South America, UK, Southeast Asia and Europe. They provide world class technology consultants to architect, deploy, optimize and support our client's I.T. investments.
