AMA Honors 4 Under 40 Marketing Emerging Leaders
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- AMA's 4 under 40 Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of marketing and its sub-fields while demonstrating sound leadership and a continuing commitment to service. The Marketing Emerging Leaders Award winners are being recognized on Monday, September 28th at the AMA’s Annual Marketing Conference in Austin, TX.
Candidates for the 4 Under 40 Marketing Emerging Leaders Award were nominated by their peers, organization, or self-nominated. Candidates had to be less than 40 years old at the time of the nomination; have a demonstrated commitment to the marketing industry and its advancement; and serve as passionate leaders who have a high potential for collaboration and success. These individuals lead by example, mentor and motivate others, actively participate in transferring knowledge, and take risks to achieve a desired outcome. A committee of six volunteers from the AMA’s Marketing Insights and Marketing Advisory Councils reviewed the nominations. The following four award recipients are leading change and embracing what’s next in the marketing field:
Jeff Green is CEO and cofounder of The Trade Desk, Inc., a global demand-side platform in the $20B programmatic advertising space. The Trade Desk was recently recognized among the top ten on Forbes magazine’s list of America’s Most Promising Companies 2015. In 2004, Jeff created the first online ad network, AdECN, which Microsoft acquired in 2007. In June 2015, Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year for the Greater Los Angeles region. Recently, The Trade Desk was recognized by Outside magazine as one of the best places to work in America and earned the same recognition for its New York office by Crain’s New York Business.
Edward Jenkins is the Chief Communications Officer at the Center for Infectious Disease Research. Edward leads the Center's communications, marketing, PR, and philanthropic efforts. As the chief architect and steward of the Center’s brand, Edward works to ensure a broad base of awareness and philanthropic support from the public of the Center’s mission to make transformative scientific advancements that lead to the prevention and treatment of infectious disease. Prior to joining the Center, Edward worked in advertising and marketing for Amazon, led rebranding efforts within the YMCA, and worked on the Global Marketing Solutions team at Facebook. Edward is a frequent speaker at national and international marketing and philanthropic conferences and training sessions in the areas of social and digital media, branding, and philanthropy.
Elyse Meyer is the Founder of Prism Global Marketing Solutions, a digital marketing agency and HubSpot Gold Partner in Phoenix, AZ. Elyse has experience in marketing and sales management, specifically in online marketing, inbound marketing, strategic planning, and sales & marketing alignment. Elyse leads the Phoenix Inbound Marketing HubSpot User Group, volunteers with the American Marketing Association, University of Arizona Alumni Board, Arizona Small Business Association, and Arizona Technology Council, and is an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and Business Marketing Association. Elyse frequently speaks at both local and national events on the topics of inbound marketing, integrated marketing, and topics related to entrepreneurship.
Mike Seiman is the CEO & Chairman of CPXi, a digital media company that he co-founded while still a college student at Hofstra University in the early 2000’s. CPXi continues the rapid growth that led to its inclusion on Inc. magazine’s list of fastest growing privately held advertising/marketing companies in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015. Mike was selected as a semi-finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year initiative in 2010 and 2013 and as a finalist in 2009 and 2014. In his free time, Mike serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Hofstra University and focuses on numerous philanthropic initiatives including sitting on the boards of the H.E.S. (Hebrew Educational Society non-profit community center) and Children International.
The nomination period for next year’s 4 Under 40 Marketing Research Emerging Leaders Award will open in January of 2016.
