Springville City Power and High West Energy Inc. Choose Survalent for its Integrated Technology and Reliable Customer Support
BRAMPTON, ON (PRWEB) November 04, 2015 -- Springville City Power (SCP) - a municipal utility in Utah, and High West Energy Inc. (HWE) - a cooperative utility in Wyoming commissioned Survalent Technology’s Survalent ONE™ ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System). Both utilities chose Survalent’s SCADA for its integrated technology platform, reliable customer support service and ability to work seamlessly with their existing systems.
Survalent ONE™ ADMS is an advanced product line providing a complete solution on one platform. Both SCP and HWE can experience the many benefits of having the most advanced graphical user interface, SmartVU. With SmartVU, operators can utilize modern graphics hardware to accomplish high quality graphics, providing a platform for users to view and edit all of their SCADA applications.
The system is based on a Windows Server and includes advanced functionalities such as, Control Panel for quick configuration and access to field devices, and IED Wizard - a tool that automates the creation of the database points for supported IEDs. Also included is Remote Alarm functions that provide the ability to send e-mail, paging, SNMP, and SMS text messages for specified alarms.
The SurvCentral application provides access to SCADA information, such as operator summary, substation line diagrams, alarms and distribution network map, so SCP and HWE can make better decisions more quickly. Additionally, the WebSurv application allows their management to monitor information from the ADMS and improve internal communications. Also included for SCP is Event Data Recording for recording all status changes, operator controls and Sequence of Events (SOE) data.
“Survalent is delighted to be able to meet the needs of Springville and High West Energy with our Survalent ONE™ ADMS solution” said Ed Kobeszka, Regional Sales VP for Western US. “The system implementations are on schedule, allowing the utilities to quickly realize the value of their investment.” Both SCP and HWE recognized the need for a single platform for advanced functionality and will be able to grow with the system adding features and functionality as needed, and eliminating the need to add separate applications external to SmartVU.”
