Irish duo Kickstarting ZompireWolf game into the history books!
Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) November 18, 2015 -- Kickstarter is the world’s largest crowd funding platform and since it launched in 2009, close to 10 million people have pledged over $2billion to fund 95,000 projects. In September 2014, it opened to submissions from Ireland and have had such diverse projects from Midi Guitars to Artisan Yarn from the Emerald Isle!
Derek Dillon and Ralph Hosford, the creative duo that form a new games company based in Dublin, are on course to having the first computer game to be successfully funded in Ireland. The duo have some very successful credits under their belt and have unveiled their combined creative talents, which is ZompireWolf... part Zombie, part Vampire, part Werewolf and all trouble!
Zompirewolf, a stunning, fast paced, endless running iOS and Android mobile game. One of the most unique features of the game is that during gameplay, you can jump between the three character traits depending on the trouble coming your way! Change to the Zombie and he is almost unkillable. As the Vampire he can take to the sky. Any obstacles in his path can be destroyed by changing to be the Werewolf! This opens the game up to be a unique experience every time it’s played.
The full game is aimed at every gamer young and old and the idea has already captured the imagination of every child who has seen it. A cool feature will be that it can be played in ‘Junior’ mode, where characters are harder to kill, gameplay is slower and there is a lot less gore. Ralph said, ”We know what it’s like to have kids playing a game, and if they get killed in 3 seconds, it’s frustrating for everyone involved!”
A bespoke soundtrack has been created for each different character and world by DJ’s Johnny Moy and MiSK (U2, David Byrne). This really brings Zompirewolf to life and keeps the energy of the game up in the red.
Having secured the services of a lead animator who has worked on such movies as Frozen and Wreck-it-Ralph before the project even launched on Kickstarter, it’s not hard to see why they are dreaming big!
Currently, the game is 75% funded with less than week to go and on the way to being the first successfully funded computer game on Kickstarter Ireland. Go to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/durtbird/zompirewolf for more details
