This list included 100 businesses with an ownership structure that’s at least 51% female with a minimum of $5 million in annual sales. They combined to employ more than 26,460 workers, a 2.4% increase. Some of the well-known companies on the list comprised of In-n-Out Burgers, Inc. and Mercedes Benz of Laguna Niguel. The businesses accounted for 6,794 jobs in Orange County, up nearly 7.2% from a year earlier. That’s ahead of the pace of the largest private companies based here, which combined for 52,646 local workers over the past year, a 4.5% uptick, according to Business Journal research.
