Tim Peifer Joins National Lutheran Family as Director of Philanthropy
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) January 12, 2016 -- National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) welcomes Tim Peifer as the Director of Philanthropy for The Village at Orchard Ridge—A National Lutheran Community in Winchester, Va., and The Legacy at North Augusta—A National Lutheran Community in Staunton, Va.
Peifer will split his time between the two communities, working with individuals to enhance giving programs at each location and raise the awareness of NLCS’ mission. Peifer has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He previously worked as the Vice President Retail Sales Manager for Blue Ridge Bank in Harrisonburg. With his financial acumen, he is able to help individuals understand the impact their donations can have and suggest a variety of ways in which a gift can be made.
“I’m pleased to be a part of a great service organization with such a long and faithful history,” Peifer said. “I look forward to serving the needs of The Village at Orchard Ridge and The Legacy at North Augusta, and contributing to their philanthropic heritage.”
NLCS’ Chief Philanthropy Officer Kathryn Baerwald noted that Tim’s background will be a welcome addition to the team.
"Tim brings not only an understanding of the importance of charitable giving, but he also is very familiar with the area that NLCS serves in the Shenandoah Valley,” said Baerwald.
Peifer attended Northern Virginia Community College and he’s had successful careers in retail management as well as financial sales. He and his family have lived in Harrisonburg for 17 years. His wife Kristy is a Vice President at Peak Construction at Massanutten Resort and their daughter is a junior at Virginia Tech. He and his family are active members at Muhlenberg Lutheran Church where he currently serves as the Chair for the Finance Committee. Peifer also is the board President for People Helping People, volunteers for Rebuilding Together and is a member of the Harrisonburg Lion’s Club.
