Award-Winning Filmmaker to Produce New Edgy Digital Series
New York, New York (PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- Award-winning filmmaker Caytha Jentis will produce “The Other F Word” an edgy dramatic comedy about a group of women friends who find that the angst of raising kids may be nothing compared to the angst of starting over after the kids are grown. http://www.foxmeadowfilms.com
“It’s a chapter of life for women that has yet to be dealt with episodically,” says Jentis. "Up until now, men have held a monopoly on the depiction of mid-life crises on TV and in the movies.”
“I am very excited to produce an edgy, on-the-mark, breakthrough show for this huge yet under-serviced desirable demographic,” adds Jentis, who is quick to point out that women 45 and older control most of the wealth and make the major buying decisions today.
Caytha Jentis is the creator, writer and Executive Producer of "The Other F Word." She has written and produced award-winning features including “Bad Parents” starring Janeane Garofalo, Cheri Oteri, Christopher Titus and Kristen Johnston (Cinedigm), “And Then Came Love” starring Vanessa Williams and Eartha Kitt (Warner Bros), and "The One" starring Jon Prescott (TLA Releasing). A former literary agent, she has an MFA from UCLA in screenwriting and a BS in TV/film from Syracuse University. She is a member of the Producers Guild and NYWIFT. http://www.foxmeadowfilms.com
Emmy award-winning writer Jerome Perzigian serves as consulting producer. Perzigian has been a showrunner, writer and producer on some of the most-successful, half-hour series in history, including “The Jeffersons,” “The Golden Girls,” “Frasier,” and “Married…with Children.” Perzigian currently writes for various sports shows and teaches.
Production begins in early spring and talks are underway with several vertical and other platforms to exhibit the series. http://www.foxmeadowfilms.com
Jokes Jentis, “We are trending. 'Cord cutting' is the industry buzz word, and our show is about cord cutting...the umbilical one that is between us and our millennial children!”
