Desktop Alert Inc. New Patent Enables Introduction of ‘Less Than One Minute Alerting’ Mass Notification Product Line
Chatham, New Jersey (PRWEB) January 22, 2016 -- Desktop Alert, Inc., the leader in mass notification and interoperable emergency communication systems, today announced the availability of their version 5.2 mass notification platform with significantly enhanced performance capabilities documented in the companies newly issued patent.
Employing numerous new and industry-leading proprietary algorithms and protocols, Desktop Alert version 5.2 achieves an unmatched level of performance for alert delivery and network optimization. At the heart of Desktop Alert 5.2 is the updated “Eventing” model which provides unrivaled scalability and performance. While small installations (with modest user populations) can be deployed on an existing single server, Desktop Alert 5.2 allows for the dynamic addition of interconnected connected organizational servers to achieve scale. In a seamless and frictionless fashion, users are distributed across Desktop Alert's delivery servers. The new model delivers performance and scale while eliminating a single point of failure (a delivery server can fail with no noticeable affect on the connected users) and mitigating network connectivity interruptions.
"With this newly issued patent we continue to extend our performance and reliability leadership position. As the industry leader in both speed and reliability of life-safety messages and personnel accountability, we know that every second counts when lives are at stake” said Howard Ryan, Desktop Alert's CEO.
With Desktop Alert 5.2, the client/server protocol has also been updated. The previous heavy-weight polling model has been replaced by a light-weight “Eventing” model that uses less than 20 bytes per pole. This allows Desktop Alert clients to receive alerts nearly instantaneously using a new protocol that vastly reduces our software’s network footprint.
"This unprecedented increase in performance, scale, and reliability is a direct result of the tireless commitment of the entire Desktop Alert team to bring to market the best, most reliable, and most secure mass notification system ", Ryan added.
