Donor Alliance Announces 2016 Board of Directors
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Donor Alliance, the federally designated non-profit organization that facilitates organ and tissue donation in Colorado and most of Wyoming, has added Kimberly A. Griffiths, MS, RN, and Thomas M. Gronow, MHA to its 2016 Board of Directors.
One of two new additions to the nine-member Board of Directors, Kimberly Griffiths boasts extensive experience in health care management including nine years as Vice President of Strategic Operations at Pinnacol Assurance. Most recently Griffiths served as the executive director of Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence, a 501(c) (3) non-profit that helps organizations improve performance and achieve results through the application of the Baldrige criteria for performance excellence. A registered nurse, Griffiths also holds a Master’s in healthcare systems from the University of Denver.
Thomas Gronow, chief operating officer at the University of Colorado Hospital, also joins the Donor Alliance Board of Directors. In his previous role as vice president, operations at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Gronow led the emergency, trauma and burn service line for the UPMC Health System. He also currently serves as a board member for Colorado’s State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council and is an accreditation commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Tom obtained his Master’s in hospital administration from the University of South Florida, is an FAA-certified commercial pilot and is pursuing his doctorate in human and organizational learning at George Washington University.
Remaining on the Donor Alliance Board of Directors this year are Bradley T. Kornfeld, JD, Esq. (Chair); Deb Smith, CPA (Chair Elect); Kevin M. Smith, CPA (Secretary/Treasurer); Patrick L. Green, MBA, FACHE; Judy Hutchison, MA; Igal Kam, MD and Mary M. White, MBA, FACHE. Departing from the board this year is John P. Harney, BA, MBA, FACHE.
