Edgenuity Celebrates Online and Blended Learning Achievement with Video Contest Award Winners
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 24, 2016 -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, today announced the winners of its fourth-annual video contest, highlighting stories of online and blended learning success from partner schools across the country. Grand prize winner James Earl Rudder High School (JERHS) in Texas was awarded a $5,000 technology grant, with runner-ups Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Florida and San Diego School for Creative and Performing Arts in California receiving Edgenuity software licenses to extend online and blended learning solution capabilities to additional students.
“This year’s videos are especially compelling and bring to life the range of ways that Edgenuity is helping to improve learning outcomes and making a difference in the lives of teachers and students,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “We congratulate the winners and look forward to their continued success in implementing technology to personalize learning.”
Going on its fourth year, Edgenuity received a record number of submissions. JERHS’s winning video illustrates how Edgenuity’s blended learning model allows students to own their academic challenges, take control of their learning, and have pride in their success. JERHS teacher Eboni L. Bailey Bonaiti says that with Edgenuity, “…students may walk in discouraged, but with each completion or passing of a test, courage and confidence grows and students begin to set personal goals, encourage their classmates, and realize their potential.”
Additional contest winner highlights include:
• Christa McAuliffe Middle School, which shows how students in the blended virtual lab become proficient and efficient learners with the support of certified teachers. For the last two years, the lab has seen 100% completion and accuracy through Edgenuity’s student-directed personalized learning, instant feedback, and dashboards to analyze progress.
• San Diego School for Creative and Performing Arts, which showcases how students can use Edgenuity to get a jump start on their graduation requirements in order to pursue their passions. With an easy-to-use platform, students can learn from home at the pace that suits them best.
