Litigation Solutions Inc. Hosts Annual Gala and Fundraiser for the Wheels of Justice Courage Classic Tour
Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 14, 2016 -- The Litigation Solutions, Inc. (LSI) gala was held at The EDGE Bar Fireplace at the Four Seasons Hotel Denver. Its downtown location provided an upscale atmosphere to complement the house DJ, heavy hors d’oeuvres and spirited drinks.
Nearly $10,000 was raised in support of the Wheels of Justice Cycling Team benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado – Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. LSI president, Michael Lopez, and several others in the legal and business community are members of the Wheels of Justice (WOJ) team.
This year fellow WOJ cyclists Kim and David Sievers (Grandmother and father, respectively) shared their story of losing 3-year-old Hazel to cancer in 2014. David first rode with the Courage Classic when Hazel was in remission in the summer of 2012. The following year, when Hazel was diagnosed with incurable cancer, Kim joined David. Eventually, they found and joined the WOJ team so the funds they raised would benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado where Hazel was treated.
Approximately 150 guests were present including LSI clients, Children’s Hospital Colorado supporters, Wheels of Justice team members, and the Wheels of Justice director Aaron Bradford. Lopez uses the LSI Annual Gala as a platform to inspire others. It serves as an opportunity to build awareness for why the Wheels of Justice team rides, and to encourage others to participate, support or sponsor the tour in 2016.
The WOJ team raised more than $345,000 at the 2015 Courage Classic Cycling Tour. Year after year, the team recruits corporate sponsors that account for approximately $75,000 in donations, while individual team members raise the remainder of funds to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado – Center for Cancer and Blood Donations.
The Gala has inspired others in the legal community to get involved as well. Several guests have reached out to Lopez to learn how they can help—not only financially, but by volunteering as well.
