North Coast Region School Districts to Adopt iCEV As Part of California Grant Program
Lubbock, TX (PRWEB) March 15, 2016 -- As part of the California Career Pathways Trust Program, CEV Multimedia announces that the North Coast Agriculture Partners Consortium in Northern California will utilize a portion of its grant funding to incorporate iCEV into agriscience pathway courses between area high schools and colleges – giving students a chance to continue exploring their interests and career aspirations. iCEV is an online platform that produces comprehensive educational content for students and teachers.
“Our students will directly benefit from this grant with the chance to learn from the iCEV platform as they continue to seek real-world experiences and become college and career ready,” said Sandy Dale, agriculture program specialist for the North Coast Agriculture Partners Consortium. “This is a great opportunity to help our students advance their aspirations by working with a modern curriculum while earning college credit.”
The North Coast Agriculture Partners Consortium will oversee the allocation of grant funds to 16 schools and two community colleges in the region, which equates to $4.65 million in funding. Grant funds will strengthen and modernize the agriculture science curriculum while formalizing partnerships to offer job shadow and summer job opportunities to expand on what they learn in the classroom.
“The allocation of grant money to the North Coast Region of California will further strengthen the curriculum and resources being provided to students as they pursue their desired career path,” said Dusty Moore, iCEV president. “iCEV will continue to aid and prepare students to enter today’s highly trained workforce, and we’re pleased we can play a part in helping them succeed.”
iCEV offers practical, interactive learning with professional demonstrations to prepare students for postsecondary education and high-skill, high-demand careers. Educators can quickly monitor and track students directly through the platform’s interactive lessons and assessments. Through iCEV, students can also enhance their career training by earning industry-backed certifications.
