Stepping Stones Museum for Children Announces New Summer Learning Camps
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) March 15, 2016 -- Get ready for a sizzling summer of fun and learning at the Museum’s new Summer Camp. Campers are invited to explore Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk, Connecticut this summer. Full- and half-day programs are available starting June 20 for ages 4 and older.
Summer FUN (and Learning) with Stepping Stones offers unique camp experiences for individual visitors and for groups visiting from day camps or scout troops.
Enjoy a week-long exploration of Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk this summer. Campers can gain a deeper understanding of STEAM or learn the basics of stop motion animation.
STEAM Central:
A week-long exploration of all things related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) with a transportation theme. Not only will campers gain a deeper understanding of STEAM, but they will also travel through the entire museum, enjoying all that the exhibits have to offer.
• Week of June 20 | Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Week of June 27 | Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Animation Station:
Inspired by the museum’s popular animation program of the same name, Animation Station is a half-day summer program in which children learn the basics of stop-motion animation by using an iPad to create their own videos, incorporating storytelling, art and technology. At the end of the series, videos can be downloaded and shared.

Give your group an experience to remember at an award-winning children’s museum that provides hands-on exhibits and programs designed to ignite a love of learning through play. Visitors can explore feelings, mood, and relationships with others by acting out their feelings on camera, creating artwork, or listening to music in Express Yourself, get wet while investigating hydro, wind and solar power in Energy Lab®, construct structures in Build It!, work on projects using reclaimed materials in our special creators experience, Making Space and much more.
Field trips to Stepping Stones are always a hit! Your campers can explore award-winning exhibits, facilitated by a museum guide. Our Stepping Stones to Go workshops allow us to deliver all the fun of Stepping Stones at your camp!
